Chances Are... I attended the Committee on Citizenship and Immigration meetings this past spring and heard MPs - Bloc, Liberal, Conservative and NDP – all discussing ways to reduce immigration wait-times. All were engaged. All were concerned. All spoke of constituents that they knew who were affected by this issue. For some reason it felt like something beyond politicking. It felt genuine, as if they were there with every person that was applying. I have to wonder…am I really being naïve?
